Ground falling toward the building, brickwork clearance lost to landscaping, construction timber left stored beside the house, and drainage holding water at the footing.
Why new estates are not exempt
Offcuts get buried during landscaping and the first garden beds often go in above the brick base, which is exactly how a path forms.
What we recorded
Site grading problems and lost clearance on Austral jobs, both of which sit on the conducive list.
Clearing them
Regrade, cut levels back off the brickwork, move stored timber, connect the downpipes. Almost all of it is cheap.
